Melissa Moody

Laboratory Supervisor, QA/QC Manager, Research Scientist

Melissa Moody joined Androvia LifeSciences in February of 2015 as a Research Scientist. Currently, Melissa serves as one of Androvia’s Laboratory Supervisors and is the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager. Melissa is responsible for overseeing the analysis of sperm images, procuring the images for analysis, and methods and processes associated with the company’s proprietary technology. Melissa is the first author of “Validation of a laboratory developed test of human sperm capacitation” and a co-author of “Localization patterns of the ganglioside GM1 in human sperm are indicative of male fertility and independent of traditional semen measures” (Molecular Reproduction and Development 2017). She is also a listed author for several scientific abstracts and poster presentations on sperm function presented at various conferences in 2016 including the American Society of Andrology (ASA), the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

In 2011, Melissa graduated from Pennsylvania State University and received her BS in Animal Sciences. In 2014, Melissa received her MS in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University.
