Dr. Sharara is the Founder and Medical Director of the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine, one of the first clinics to offer the Cap-Score™ Sperm Function Test. Currently, Dr. Sharara holds the position of Clinical Professor OB/GYN at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Sharara has published more than 80 scientific papers addressing issues of infertility. Dr. Sharara is also a reviewer for several peer reviewed journals including Fertility & Sterility and Human Reproduction and was named to the editorial board of the Middle East Fertility Society Journal. In 2004, Dr. Sharara was recognized as International Scientist of the Year. Dr. Sharara is a member of several fertility societies, serving on the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Practice Committee from 2007 to 2013. Additionally, Dr. Sharara has served on the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) Practice Committee since 2007, a six-member committee responsible for updating protocols for the latest Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
