Cristina Cardona

Research Scientist

Cristina Cardona, PhD, joined Androvia LifeSciences in June of 2015 as a Research Scientist. Cristina is the first author of “Localization patterns of the ganglioside GM1 in human sperm are indicative of male fertility and independent of traditional semen measures” and a co-author of “Validation of a laboratory developed test of human sperm capacitation” (Molecular Reproduction and Development 2017). She is also a listed author for several scientific abstracts and poster presentations on sperm function presented at various conferences in 2016 including the American Society of Andrology (ASA), the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

In 2014, Dr. Cardona received her PhD in cell and developmental biology from Rutgers University, where she studied meiotic recombination in oocytes.
